Denmark - Hirtshals

Really smooth crossing, like a mill pond. The people took advantage of the buffet on board.  It was fantastic, and good value. All the food was excellent, especially the fish. I think James got his value from the cheese alone.

A car alarm kept waking me and other cars up on the car deck. We very nearly pushed the thing of the back.

All of us had a lay in this morning as ferry didn't berth until 1300. Took an age to get off the dock, but once under way made good progress.

Good fuel consumption today again. Harriet made it 22mpg. About 202 miles, 6 hours including stops.

Saw a forward control coming in the opposite direction and got a good wave. Also got a couple of waves from discovery 2 and 3's.

I, unfortunately, wet myself at a garage when John overfilled me. How embarrassing!

I think they may finally have fixed my back light this evening - but it is a typical LR owner bodge. So it will probably stay like that for years. That job was finished at 2215, just before the sun set.

Hotel is a group of chalets right next to the beach - can hear the surf. Owner very friendly and helpful.

Went down to the beach at sunset with Harriet for a photo shoot.  Harriet very nearly spent the night down there when she got stuck in a little mound of deeper sand and started to dig in deeper. Thought I was going to have to pull her out, but she rocked her own way out. Let's hope she hasn't got sand in important little places

Still light here at well past 2300.

Short run to the next ferry tomorrow and then we'll be in Norway!
