Oslo

Shortish run to Oslo today, so we made a visit to the Olympic village first. On the way called in at supermarket. Dave thought he'd purchased some bargain beer, only to have it pointed out to him by Malcolm when showing it off that it was alcohol free. Should have gone to specsavers. At the Olympic village most of the others walked up to the top of the ski jump. I could have driven up there as at the top of the climb was a car park.

On the road in the afternoon, but we diverted off the main E6 route as Dave had organised to meet with a couple of members of the Norwegian land rover club.

Two Norwegian blues.

A good look around each others land rovers, one of theirs was equipped out as a bit of a camper for overnight fishing. The other had show plough attachment points on the chassis. I think James has found his next' must have' accessory.

Fantastic hospitality -  they gave us BBQ sausages, cake and drinks.

Then a final short run into downtown Oslo. Our first traffic jam in Norway. Staying in a sports hotel. A hotel attached to a sports academy. We feel a little out of place.

  1. Sounds like Malcolm saved you all the embarrassment of being placebo drunk.

Does driving to the top of a ski jump qualify you to stay in a sports hotel?!
